The interdisciplinary Leadership Studies Minor is designed to teach students competencies in communication skills, problem solving, decision making and team development, a set of skills that effective leaders of any institution must possess.
Minor Requirements
15 credits (Total does not include prerequisite courses)
Complete the following four courses (12 credits):
BUS-100 | Introduction to Business | 3 credits |
BUS-225 | Principles of Management | 3 credits |
BUS-375 | Leadership in the New Millennium | 3 credits |
LSP-201 | Leadership Theories, Styles & Realities | 3 credits |
Complete 1 course (3 credits) from the following:
BUS-200 | Small Business Management | 3 credits |

| Special Topics in Business | 1-3 credits |
BUS-340 | International Business | 3 credits |
BUS-483 | Project Management | 3 credits |
LSP-497 | Internship | 1-3 credits |
BUS-299T Special Topics, other BUS 300-level or BUS 400-level and/or LSP-497 courses may apply to the minor with approval of Leadership Studies program director
