Data Science Minor
The field of Data Science requires skills in computer science, mathematics, and statistics to extract meaning from data. Large, complex datasets have become common in all fields of study. The Data Science minor gives students the necessary skills to process, understand, and visualize such datasets, as well as the ability to select, build, test, and revise many types of predictive and descriptive models. In addition to analyzing data, students will develop skills to communicate the structure and patterns in data and the methods, implications, and effectiveness of models to a broad audience.
