Pre-Optometry Specialization
Completion of this specialization, in addition to introductory Biology and Chemistry course sequences, will fulfill the core science requirements for Optometry school; however, each school has its own list of requirements. Students should check the specific requirements for each school of interest. In addition, non-science courses such as a year of writing-focused courses (FYS + one ENG course), social sciences, a year of math, ethics and cultural diversity are recommended. Note that BIO 330 is highly recommended as a prerequisite for CHE 412 Biochemistry.
