HEHP-3020 Strength & Conditioning

An in-depth examination of intentional training for athletic and human performance outcomes. As an intersection between fitness, biomechanics, physiology, and psychology, this course provides students with a framework for implementing purposeful, goal-oriented training. Instruction will focus on planning training to facilitate specific biomotor adaptations, periodization, application of training modalities, recovery, and assessment of training effectiveness.

Please note: This course may be offered in a co-listed format with HEHP-5020. Students planning to enroll in the 3+1 Master of Science in Exercise Science program should wait to take the graduate-level version of this course during their senior year.
