HEHP-4043 Advanced Exercise Physiology
This advanced course will explore the acute physiological adjustments and chronic adaptations of the body to exercise and exercise training. Emphasis is placed on understanding the role of major physiological systems in addition to current research topics in exercise science. Students will learn cellular metabolism and the applied aspects of exercise physiology such as environmental physiology, ergogenic aids, body composition, and clinical exercise physiology.
Please note: This course may be offered in a co-listed format with HEHP-5043. Students planning to enroll in the 3+1 Master of Science in Exercise Science program should wait to take the graduate-level version of this course during their senior year.
