ACCT-3235 Data Analytics

Accounting students need to develop the skills to ask the right questions, learn to use common workplace tools to examine and analyze data, and interpret results accurately and effectively to make decisions. This course addresses accounting analytics, financial analytics, and operational analytics. Descriptive, diagnostic, predictive and prescriptive analytics are introduced. The course includes working with data analytic tools and the communication and presentation of complex information. Students should have a moderate skill level working with spreadsheets. Formerly ACC-335.

Please note: This course may be offered in a co-listed format with ACCT-5235. Students planning to enroll in the 3+1 Master of Accountancy program should wait to take the graduate-level version of this course during their senior year.
